Official website of Milena Lainovic, London-based singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer

MILENA (born Milena Lainović) is a London-based singer-songwriter and pianist, originally from Montenegro. Immersed in music from an early age, she began studying classical guitar at eight, nurtured by an artistic upbringing and especially inspired by her father. This early foundation shaped a musical path that now spans genres, borders, and stages.

She studied classical music at the Music Academy in Montenegro before working as a radio presenter and music journalist for RTCG Capital Radio, where she hosted popular programmes and recorded jingles still broadcast today. Her early experiences in musical theatre, children’s television, and advertising helped form the expressive, charismatic style that defines her work today.

After moving to London, she became one half of the duo Lite Motive, releasing the album Love, which appeared on a compilation alongside tracks by George Michael and Ronan Keating. Since then, MILENA has established herself as a solo artist, lead vocalist, and session singer, recording for musicians across the UK and Buena Vista International.

Her distinctive sound blends pop, soul, jazz, funk, and fusion with classical nuance — a signature style reflected in her three albums, numerous singles, and remixes. Her music has been featured on BBC Radio and played across the UK and Europe. Her latest single, Above All The Ground (29 May 2025), is a cinematic, piano-led piece that captures her emotional depth as a songwriter.

MILENA has performed extensively across Europe and the USA, with appearances at venues such as Pizza Express Live, The Spice of Life, Floridita, and various UK festivals. Whether performing solo or with a band, she continues to captivate audiences with her soulful voice, thoughtful lyrics, and refined musicianship.
